Beyond certification.

At Neotec, we don't sell cards: a technical certification means you can handle multiple failures in a hostile environment. Sébastien Wilem applies methods drawn from his tactical experience and deep exploration (−230 m).

  • 01Stress managementControlled “worst case” scenarios to build your resilience.
  • 02Clean configurationStandardised equipment (Hogarthian / DIR) for maximum efficiency.
  • 03PlanningGas calculations, redundancy and contingency. Nothing is left to chance.

↳ 01 · Overhead

Mines & caves. Neotec's specialty.

Learn to navigate the stone labyrinths of the slate mines of Martelange and France: a cold, dark, technical environment that forges the best divers. Three levels, available in open circuit or on a rebreather.

  1. Daylight zone01

    Cavern Diver

The first step. Diving in the natural-light zone: equipment handling, propulsion (frog kick) and light communication.

    • Fundamental
    • OC / CCR
PrerequisiteOpen Water DiverAvailable in OC or CCR
  2. Twilight02

    Intro to Cave

The gateway to darkness. Master the guideline, silt-free propulsion and lost-light procedures.

    • Main line
    • Lost buddy
    • Lost line
    • Simple navigation
PrerequisiteCavern DiverAvailable in OC or CCR
  3. Total darkness03

    Full Cave / Mine

Full autonomy. Complex navigation (jumps, gaps, Ts) and gas management for long-distance penetrations.

Advanced overhead specialties

Additional modules for experienced explorers.

  • Diver with a DPV in a cave

    DPV Cave

The scooter in an overhead environment for long-distance penetrations.

  • Diver in sidemount configuration under a rock ceiling

    Sidemount Cave & Advanced

The side-mounted configuration for passing major restrictions.

  • Divers with stage cylinders in a cave

    Stage & Multistage

Several stage cylinders to extend your gas autonomy.

  • Diver passing a sump in a passage

    Sump (post-sump)

Crossing dry sections to dive again beyond: pure exploration.

  • Technical diver decompressing in a cave

    Deco Cave

Advanced decompression procedures adapted to the overhead environment.

Instructors: Sébastien Wilem & Alain Margrève, Instructor Trainers and explorers.

Plan my cave course

↳ 02 · Depth & decompression

Deeper, always clear-headed.

Depth demands clarity of mind. Using helium (trimix) and enriched deco gases (O2) is the key to exploring the 40 to 100 m zone safely. Each course is placed here at its actual maximum depth.

  1. Advanced Nitrox & Deco

The foundation of tek: a deco cylinder (S40/S80) to speed up your stops and extend your bottom time.

    • 100% O₂ deco
    • 45 m

    Helitrox

A helium-enriched mix to eliminate narcosis and dive with a clear head.

    • Reduced narcosis
    • 45 m
  2. Extended Range

The gateway to great depths: complex decompression profiles and technical configuration.

    • Decompression +
    • 55 m
  3. Normoxic Trimix

An introduction to helium for clear, safe dives. Multi-gas management.

    • Multi-gas
    • 60 m
  4. Hypoxic Trimix

The summit: several travel and bottom gases for abyssal exploration.

    • Expedition
    • 100 m+
Off the scale

Technical DPV

Scooter and underwater propulsion: navigation, team positioning, failure management, optimising distance and gas consumption.

OC or CCR

Mixed gas on a rebreather

Mixed-gas courses are also available on CCR with the ISC Megalodon, MEG 15, ISC Tiburon and Divesoft Liberty (sidemount and backmount).

↳ 03 · Silent technology

CCR rebreathers. The future of exploration.

The closed-circuit rebreather offers massive gas autonomy, warmth and total silence to approach wildlife. Neotec trains on two benchmark units, in backmount and sidemount.

  • Autonomy
  • Warmth
  • Silence

Beginner, experienced diver or future instructor: describe your level and your goals. Sébastien Wilem will reply personally to build the right pathway for you.

How it works

  1. You write to us

Your experience, the course you're aiming for and your availability.

  2. We review it together

Level, prerequisites, equipment: we check that the course is right for you.

  3. We plan

Dates, dive sites and programme, in theory and in open water.
