FAQ

Recreational Diving

I'm a beginner—is Neotec's “technical” approach too difficult for me?

Not at all. On the contrary, “if you can do the hard stuff, you can do the easy stuff.” Learning from a technical expert means you’ll develop better habits from the start (buoyancy, horizontal position, equipment management) than you would at a standard diving school. You’ll be a safer and more confident diver, even at shallow depths.

Yes, for the beginner course (Open Water), we provide a full set of modern equipment suited to local conditions (full-suit wetsuits, high-performance regulators). However, we always recommend purchasing your own mask and fins for optimal comfort.

We focus on natural sites in the Greater Region (Lake Haute-Sûre in Luxembourg, quarries in Belgium or Germany). Learning in these environments—which can be more challenging than tropical seas—will make you an excellent diver, capable of diving anywhere in the world thereafter.

We issue SDI (Scuba Diving International) certifications. It is one of the world’s largest agencies, recognized everywhere (PADI, SSI centers, etc.). Your diver’s certification will be valid at any dive center around the globe.

No, it is not strictly required at the beginning, but we strongly recommend that you undergo a medical examination, as safety is our priority. Please note, however, that a medical certificate stating there are no contraindications to scuba diving, issued by a doctor (general practitioner or specialist), will berequired to begin the practical training.

Absolutely. The levels are equivalent. If you are a PADI Open Water, you can start the SDI Advanced Adventure course with us right away. We’ll conduct a brief assessment of your skills during the first dive to tailor the instruction to your actual level.
